How to balance the service life of mouse pads and mouse feet?

Matching of foot pad materials: Soft cloth mouse pads should be paired with Teflon foot pads (low friction), while hard mouse pads made of plastic/metal should be paired with rubber foot pads. This prevents hard mouse pads from wearing out soft foot pads and hard foot pads from scraping lint off soft mouse pads.

Regular cleaning: Excessive dust on the mouse pad can increase friction and accelerate foot pad wear. Dusty foot pads can scratch the pad. It is recommended to clean with a soft cloth or brush once a week and check and wipe the foot pads for dirt once a month.

Control usage habits: Do not press the mouse or slide it idly. Try to use the central area of the mouse pad and avoid the edges.

Replace foot pads promptly: When foot pads are worn to the point of frayed edges or thinning, replace them immediately. Otherwise, old foot pads will scratch the mouse pad and shorten its service life.
